Are you a reliable, enthusiastic, and experienced Fitter Mechanical (Mechanical Tradesperson) looking for a rewarding role? RoadTek Mackay are looking for a skilled professional to service and maintain our fleet of trucks, mobile plant and equipment.
RoadTek is a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads. We provide transport infrastructure solutions for projects across Queensland. We are a multi-disciplined organisation with accreditation to national and international standards. This means we value respect, safety, diversity, and inclusion.
RoadTek consists of a fleet of more than 1300 assets spread across 9 operations units. The workshop teams maintain a core fleet to satisfy operational unit requirements to facilitate the delivery of transport infrastructure maintenance, works and services across Queensland.

What you'll do:
• Keep our fleet running at peak performance through quality repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Work alongside a supportive team to ensure maximum equipment availability for our projects.
• Play a key role in keeping Queensland moving with well-maintained fleet.
What you need:
• Completion of an apprenticeship in a trade such as a Certificate III in Engineering.
- Mechanical Trade or similar equivalent trade certificate qualification.
• QLD Open 'C Class' Drivers Licence.
• Periodically work a weekend roster or other roster to undertake workshop or field service activities.
• Participation in an afterhours call out roster as required.
• As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you may be required or have an opportunity, to travel to other service locations to undertake workshop or field service activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel as per relevant awards agreements.
