We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Officer to join our Koala Assessment and Compliance team. In this job you will be able to make a real contribution to the protection of koalas and their habitat in South East Queensland, by working as part of a team in the delivery of assessment and compliance services under the Planning Act 2016.
You’ll be instrumental in improving and redesigning business systems and processes, managing data and correspondence, and maintaining SharePoint sites that support our operational work.
This role also offers a number of career advantages, including flexible work locations across South East Queensland (including work from home) and the chance to be part of a large State Government organisation with diverse training and development opportunities.

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Officer to join our Koala Assessment and Compliance team. Key Responsibilities
• Support the development and continuous improvement of systems and processes for koala habitat protection.
• Provide advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare briefings, reports, recommendations, and correspondence.
• Manage shared inboxes, scheduling, and document workflows.
• Design and maintain SharePoint sites and contribute to data reporting using tools like Power BI.
• Provide project, administrative, and financial support to the team.
• Represent the team in meetings and forums.
• Provide administrative, human resources, project management and financial management support.
• Contribute to culturally inclusive practices and outcomes for First Nations people.

• Enjoys improving and redesigning processes for better efficiency.
• Has experience in data management, including Power BI and document control systems.
• Is confident in correspondence management, including shared inboxes and scheduling.
• Has skills in SharePoint design and management, creating user-friendly and functional digital spaces.
• Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
