The Bowen Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

• To deliver high level generalist physiotherapy clinical services to inpatient and outpatient clients presenting to Bowen Hospital with various conditions in the areas of respiratory, surgical, orthopaedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, paediatrics and women's health across the age span.
• To actively participate in an Allied Health team that contributes to patient safety and positive outcomes by adhering to professional standards and working towards achievement of health service strategic priorities.
• To support continued health service improvement by undertaking quality improvement activities and evidence based practice as a member of a multidisciplinary team, to optimise functional outcomes, and to achieve maximum benefits from health care services for patients/consumers, their families, carers and other key stakeholders or customers of Queensland Health.
• This is a sole practitioner position based at Bowen Hospital with outreach services provided to Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service and is clinically responsible and accountable to the Medical Superintendent, and operationally accountable to the Director of Nursing.

About the Team

Bowen Hospital is a 27 Bed rural hospital servicing the town of Bowen and surrounding areas providing Inpatient acute care and sub-acute care; general outpatient services and 24 hr Accident and Emergency service. Other services provided at the Bowen Hospital include speech pathology, physiotherapy, community mental health, pharmacy and radiography.
