About us:
The Adult Community Service Team is based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast and provides a service to consumers with complex mental illness in outpatient and home settings, through a range of community mental health interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations and referral for adults from Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regional area. The service works in collaboration with the adult mental health inpatient and acute care teams, and primary health, community and private sector providers to reduce symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.
About the role:
To deliver efficient and confidential business and administrative support to a Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services team to ensure optimal delivery of clinical services.
- Maintain a professional approach to all tasks to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and quality of health data and personal information at all times.
- Provide a first point-of-call (acute) telephone response service for patients, relatives, General Practitioners, Emergency Services, Hospitals, and Mental Health Services statewide and interstate and ensure calls are processed or directed to the appropriate area for care by health professionals in a timely manner using tact, diplomacy, and discretion in accordance with 1300 MH CALL processes.
- Assist, develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems relating to 1300 MH CALL, performance reports and business processes.
About you:
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, able to succinctly convey information.
- High level experience in Microsoft Office and ability to operate a range of software programs demonstrating a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide first point of call, telephone response service for patients, relatives, General Practitioners, Emergency Services, Hospitals and Mental Health Services state wide and interstate and ensure calls processed or redirection to the appropriate area for care by health professional, in a timely manner using tact, diplomacy and discretion in accordance with processes.

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $97,656 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
