About the Role
This Head of Department looks at Pathways and Partnerships leads career education and transition support for students in Years 7 to 12, including organising work experience, mock interviews, and traineeship sign-ups. The role also oversees the school's VET programs and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful student opportunities. In addition, the position contributes to the school's curriculum leadership in line with departmental priorities, supports high-quality teaching and learning, and fosters positive relationships among students, staff, and the wider community. This role plays a key part in shaping successful futures through strong partnerships and strategic program delivery.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing career guidance and support to students, and organizing events related to pathways in the school, including SET planning
- Managing all VET activities, including RTO management and liaising with external RTOs
- Line management of Year 10 staff and support staff
- Behavior management of Year 10 students
- Leading departmental and school initiatives
