Senior Scientist and Curator, Vertebrate Zoology
Hendra (CRC) and/or Kurilpa (QMK)
The Senior Scientist and Curator, Vertebrate Zoology will undertake original research and collection development in a field of expertise relevant to terrestrial vertebrate zoology (i.e., herpetology, mammalogy or ornithology), as well as contribute to the development of exhibitions and innovative public programs in accordance with the strategic priorities of Queensland Museum.
You will work closely with Terrestrial Biodiversity Curators and Collection Managers within Queensland Museum's Biodiversity and Geosciences Program (in the Collections, Research and Exhibitions Directorate), have curatorial oversight of the Herpetology, Mammalogy and Ornithology collection areas, and take a lead in coordinating animal ethics applications by relevant QM staff.
This is a permanent and flexible full-time position with a commencement date of no earlier than 1 November 2025.
