About the Role

The Deputy Principal role at Glenala State High School offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and influence across key areas of the school. With a strong focus on Senior Schooling, Information Technology, and daily operations, this role is central to driving the school's strategic improvement agenda. It involves leading initiatives that lift student outcomes, enhance teaching and learning, and build staff capability. As a valued member of the Executive Team, the Deputy Principal also plays a vital role in shaping a positive school culture and strengthening connections with students, staff, families, and the wider community. This is a chance to lead with purpose and impact.

Your Responsibilities 

As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
