Permanent part time opportunity to deliver high quality Social Work clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Palliative Care Unit, to patients/families/carers at Redcliffe Hospital. Provide high quality Social Work clinical services including specialised grief and bereavement counselling to patients/families/carers within the Palliative Care context

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver high quality evidence based clinical services in a palliative care context in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and AASW Professional Practice Standards by assessing complex psychosocial needs of patients, families, and caregivers.
• Develop effective professional relationships and demonstrate a high level of advocacy, negotiation and conflict management skills between patients and their families, other health professionals and stakeholders to inform/ influence clinical outcomes and/or encourage behavioural change
• Provide clinical practice supervision, education, and support to HP3 level health practitioners and students to ensure the maintenance of clinical standards.
