Become a part of an exciting opportunity as First Nations Environmental Health Technician - WaSH (Identified) with Tropical Public Health Service, Medical Services. You will be required to travel extensively across multiple health service districts to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to deliver and support the Environmental Health - Water and Sanitation, Hygiene (WaSH) program to protect, promote and prevent risks to the community arising from drinking water supplies.

About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.
About your role:
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in remote settings to deliver routine environmental health WaSH program services with a strong focus on drinking water supply scheme management and operations to protect public health.
- Ability to acquire expertise, skills and knowledge, commensurate with the level of experience, to undertake routine environmental health services, assist in incident response, implement projects and research, under the supervision and professional guidance of an environmental health officer.
- Deliver routine non-regulatory environmental health services under general clinical practice supervision of an environmental health officer.
