Corporate Governance and Policy Officer

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist to research, develop, maintain and review organisational policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and programs to support QRIDA's corporate governance framework.
- Undertake projects and activities on a diverse range of corporate, governance and compliance issues and provide the Manager, Corporate Governance and Policy with advice and recommendations in relation to such projects.
- Assist with the development of change management and staff communication strategies, including the coordination of appropriate consultation processes with relevant stakeholders, including QRIDA staff, on proposed governance and policy frameworks.
- Contribute towards the effective management of the business unit's resources and information in accordance with QRIDA's governance and policy frameworks, including but not limited to risk management, business continuity and compliance management.

As a statutory body of the Queensland Government we have been helping primary producers and industry recover from natural disaster, improve sustainability and profitability, make a start in business, and overcome difficult conditions, for more than 30 years.
As the Queensland Government's experts in rural finance, we also administer the State Government's Farm Business Debt Mediation program, the Farm Debt Reconstruction Office, conduct a biennial Rural Debt Survey, undertake research and provide advice to the Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing, and Minister for Regional and Rural Development.
QRIDA is empowered under the Rural and Regional Adjustment Act 1994 to deliver additional programs and services across a range of industry sectors and to local, state and territory governments throughout Australia and for the Australian Government.
