About us:

CQMHAODS provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.

Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition there is a Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and a Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

About the role:

The Mental Health Clinician delivers quality recovery-based care at an advanced level to people living in the community who have been diagnosed as having serious mental health conditions. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, provides discipline specific case management to consumers as well as support for carers/families. The Mental Health Clinician liaises with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in an advocacy capacity for their consumers (General Practice, Non-Government Organisations, internal Central Queensland Health stakeholders).

About you:

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

Upcoming graduates awaiting conferral of qualifications and registration will be considered for this role.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $11,047 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
