About the role:

  • Prepare, dispense and supply medicines from prescriptions and inpatient medication charts under supervision for checking and authorisation by a Pharmacist.
  • Prepare non-sterile products in accordance with standard formulations and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management within the pharmacy department including, but not limited to, ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and consumables.
  • Perform functions related to the maintenance of imprest systems in designated wards areas of the Central Highlands Health Service.
  • Assist with stock rotation and expiry date monitoring of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy and designated areas of the Central Highlands Health Service.
  • Process ward returned drugs according to Pharmacy Department procedures.
  • Input, and maintain, pharmacy and client data required for information systems maintained by the Central Highlands Health Service Pharmacy Department.
  • Assist with Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme claim preparation and processing.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Adhere to relevant Queensland Health policies and standards and relevant legislative requirements.

About you:

Successful completion of, or possession of skills equivalent to, or ability to successfully complete, a recognised Pharmacy Assistant AQF Level 3 training course is highly desirable.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
