About the role
This role operates within an integrated, interdisciplinary leadership model, that is supported by professional leads within the service to collaboratively deliver high quality patient services to the cohort.
The role will implement strategic and operational initiatives associated with meeting the ongoing healthcare needs of the prison population of West Moreton with a focus on prevention, primary healthcare, health promotion and prisoner health and wellbeing.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Actively participate in the implementation of the strategic vision, direction, and culture within WMH, and translate these into operational processes and direction to support the clinical priorities and outcomes of the Prison and Youth Detention Health Service.
- Provide effective leadership in the development and management of a multidisciplinary leadership team that effectively executes the organisational strategic goals and plan, consistent with time frames, activity, and budget.
- Influence and lead the Prison and Youth Detention Health Service management team to review and reform programs, health services and oversee change and innovation that responds to the identified needs of the West Moreton prison population.
- Cultivate and maintain professional working partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Healthcare Partners and other organisations as required to ensure that identified outcomes are realised.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Senior level leadership experience in the health service industry environment, preferably in field of health promotion, primary health care, or prisoner wellbeing with a clinical, quality and performance management focus.
- Senior leadership in managing and coordinating internal teams and multi-disciplinary project teams, exercising sound judgement and effective responses to the demands of a high-pressure environment.
- Articulates and drives the implementation of strategies that align with West Moreton Health's vision and purpose.
- Leads change with agility in a large and complex organisation.
- Manages internal and external relationships by demonstrating high level communication, consultation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Whilst not mandatory, relevant tertiary and/or business qualifications are desirable and will be highly regarded.
