Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing to provide high-level strategic, operational, and professional nursing leadership at QEII Jubilee Hospital. The DON will be accountable for coordinating nursing service delivery, managing human and material resources, and ensuring safe, quality, and efficient healthcare through expert communication, data analysis, and fiscal management.
In this pivotal role, you will shape corporate and clinical governance in partnership with the Executive Director and the QEII Executive team, while supporting the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery (EDNM) Metro South Health in driving the strategic vision and health service priorities for the hospital. This position holds delegated responsibilities and requires a collaborative leadership approach to foster excellence in nursing care.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
