As Manager, Transactions and Advisory, you will provide specialist advice and services, focused on commercial and real estate transactions and project delivery.
You will lead negotiations of significant and complex commercial transactions on behalf of the state, partner with other agencies and work collaboratively with clients, proponents and stakeholders to support private sector investment in Queensland.
You will be a part of a team that is making a difference with specialist skills in real estate, transaction structuring and execution, project delivery and performance management, supporting the department to deliver its strategic priorities.

Your role will include the following key responsibilities:
• Manage the assessment and negotiation of private sector investment proposals.
• Establish and implement program and project management functions using best practices.
• Lead teams to apply vision and strategic foresight in complex projects using strategies supported by commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide specialist advice and oversight, through the enablement of an in-house consultancy service, in the delivery of time limited and strategic projects.
• Lead high quality and timely strategic analysis on multiple complex issues and initiatives to formulate pragmatic and meaningful advice delivered through briefings, project and program management, reports, Cabinet submissions and presentations.
• Develop and maintain strong productive partnerships, working relationships and networks within the department, with other State and inter-State agencies, other levels of government, non-government organisations and the private sector.
• Support the Director in setting work programs, developing and implementing standardised tools and approaches for project delivery, and the day-to-day operations of the division.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, and successfully work in inter-departmental and/or inter-governmental teams as required.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of staff development activities, including induction arrangements, performance management, mentoring staff in the performance of their duties, and coaching in the use of analytical and advisory tools and approaches.
• Supervise and manage staff in line with high quality human resource management practices, with particular reference to employment equity, antidiscrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
