You will be part of a team working out of the Protective Services Group's (PSG) Central Operations Room (COR), and responsible for alarm monitoring, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and various other communications duties.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide a high level of customer service to external clients and Protective Services Officers through effective communication, rapid response and accurate reporting of information.
• Monitor and respond to alarms in the appropriate and timely manner in accordance with legislation, policy and procedures.
• Operate specialised security monitoring systems and ensuring data entered is accurate and complete.
• Monitor radio channels and use correct radio procedure in accordance with policy, providing operational support to mobile and static patrols.
• Assist with the creation and dispatch of patrol tasks in consultation with the supervisor.
• Liaise with Emergency services, Government agencies and other non-Government stakeholders with high integrity and professionalism.
• Adhere to information security procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of information.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Protective Services Officers and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Role Requirements
Mandatory
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Other
• Successful completion of the Protective Services Officer course, to be facilitated by Protective Services, is a component of the selection process and a pre-requisite for appointment to this position.
• Appointees may be required to participate in a 24-hour, 7-day roster with work hours equating to 38-hours per week. Relevant shift penalties and allowances will apply.
