This role will coordinate the security overlay for the Arts Queensland portfolio of cultural infrastructure assets with a value of $1.2billion that includes the heritage listed Queensland Cultural Centre at Southbank.

Your Key Accountabilities:

The core capability requirements for this role are:

  • Standardise practices across all shifts, including ensuring all officers have an accurate understanding of policy, procedures and workplace requirements.
  • Be a single point of onsite consultation with Arts Queensland, the Arts Statutory Body (ASB) stakeholders and the Arts Queensland Principal Advisor of Operations to provide considered and comprehensive advice on security risk assessments, development of implementation plans/deliverables and other related issues.
  • Provide leadership, supervision and the timely addressing of performance management and development issues across all shift groups and/or specific individuals.
  • Lead the day-to-day management and follow-up activities associated with the Security Incident Reporting System, including providing timely advice on issues, trends, resourcing and risk (through contributing to the Arts Queensland Safety and Security Risk Assessment process).
  • Provide orientation and induction training in Security Control Room, QPAC Stage Door and State Library Reception and support ASB building managers develop, enhance and co-ordinate training and awareness.
  • Supervise officers and site events as they occur through physical patrols and the monitoring of GWN radio communications.
  • Contribute to incident investigations and follow-up action plans in response to serious incidents across the Arts Queensland property portfolio.
  • Contribute to and support the Queensland Cultural Centre Security Committee and Exercise Working Group.

Role Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Successful completion of the Protective Security Officers Course, to be facilitated by Protective Services, is a pre-requisite for appointment to this position.
  • Current First Aid Medical Certificate.
