Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services within the Adolescent Day Program (ADP) and/or the Acute Adolescent Mental Health Unit at Logan Hospital. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive speech pathology assessment, intervention, and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team for adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and clinical education initiatives to advance speech pathology practices and optimize patient care.
- Supervising and mentoring less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants to foster professional growth and maintain clinical standards.
- Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.
About you:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Extensive clinical expertise in delivering speech pathology services within adolescent mental health settings, with strong evidence-based practice skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage multidisciplinary teams, clients, carers, and external stakeholders, including conflict resolution skills.
- Proven experience managing complex caseloads, prioritizing clinical demands, and facilitating patient discharge planning in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership capabilities in supervising and supporting junior clinicians, students, and allied health staff to enhance team performance and professional development.
