Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

Clinical Care and Advanced Practice
Provide direct expert nursing care for a specified population/group… extended comprehensive assessment, history and physical examination… prescribe medications, order, initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and/or radiology. -
Leadership and Mentorship
Demonstrates leadership within the stroke multidisciplinary team… proactively contribute to clinical decisions, share expertise, provide mentorship… undertake a supervision role model and/or mentor role for nurse practitioner candidates. -
Education and Knowledge Sharing
Provide education and training to staff, patients and their families… develop and encourage a learning environment by mentoring and promoting team development… support education and research to promote innovation -
Quality Improvement and Research
Engages in continuous quality improvement activities, revision of protocols… expected to participate in research related to stroke care… conduct and guide clinical research and quality initiatives.
Remuneration value up to $177 797 p.a., comprising salary between $149 259 - $155 831p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 8). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
