About your role:
As a Clinical Nurse in the Geriatric Emergency Department Initiative (GEDI) at Redland Hospital, you will lead the advanced clinical care and coordination of older patients with complex needs presenting to the Emergency Department. You will apply your specialist knowledge to conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments, facilitate timely care planning, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
This role requires autonomy, clinical leadership, and a commitment to evidence-based practice, supporting the delivery of compassionate, person-centred care for a vulnerable population. You will also contribute to education, research, and quality improvement within the GEDI program and broader Emergency Department services.

You will have:
- Advanced clinical skills in geriatric nursing and acute care settings
- Demonstrated experience in complex care coordination and clinical leadership
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carers
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to a fast-paced emergency care environment
