"This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes.

CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position*

About the Role 
As a DLO, you'll be the vital link between the Department (CDSB) and the Office of the Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, providing high-level support and strategic advice to ensure the smooth flow of information and the resolution of emerging issues.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the primary liaison between the Minister's office and the department, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
• Coordinating ministerial briefings, responses, and high-level advice on portfolio matters.
• Building strong networks with internal and external stakeholders to address emerging issues and trends.
• Proactively improving departmental processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Supporting ministerial visits by preparing itineraries, trip briefs, and liaising with key stakeholders.

• Excels at building relationships and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
• Has a strong understanding of government operations, protocols and procedures.
• Demonstrates sound political judgement and thrives under pressure.
• Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing high-volume workflows.
