Do you thrive in a challenging yet structured environment? Our Workplace Relations team are seeking an Assistant Workplace Relations Advisor to support the team permanently in providing high quality, confidential advice to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

You'll be the key point of contact for Workplace Relations, providing efficient, clear communication both internally and externally to clients of the service. Your responsibilities will include drafting high level documents, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and responding to inquiries. The successful applicant will obtain the ability to analyse workplace issues, stay updated on relevant legislation and policies, and maintain confidential and sensitive information.

About us:

Workforce Division (WFD) plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. WFD takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, complex case management, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset – ‘our people'. 

WFD comprises approximately 40 human resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout Central Queensland Health (CQ Health). 

About the role:

Workplace Relations provide specialised advice in employee and industrial relation matters including providing general legislative and policy interpretation and advice, facilitation of complex case management processes, and advocacy services to assist with appeals and disputes. 

As an Assistant Workplace Relations Advisor, you will provide comprehensive administration support to ensure high-level customer service is delivered to delegates and employees in relation to various employee and industrial relation matters.

About you:

Whilst there are no mandatory requirements for this role, vocational or tertiary qualifications in Employment/Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Law would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
