About us:
Central Queensland Public Health Unit provides services to both the Central Queensland and Central West regions. Our team includes Epidemiologists, Public Health Medical Officer, Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health Officers, Public Health Data Officers, and business support staff.
Public Health Units focus on:
- protecting health
- preventing disease, illness and injury
- promoting health and wellbeing at a population or whole of community level
About the role:
Deliver complex regulatory and non-regulatory environmental health services across Central Queensland Health (CQ Health) to protect, promote and prevent risks to the community arising from environmental health hazards that impact on the natural and built environment and human health.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification that is accredited by the Environmental Health Australia or deemed eligible for appointment by the Queensland (QLD) Health Environmental Health Officer Appointments Review Committee.
- Qualifications and/or licences in a related field (e.g. pest management, water/sewerage operations) would be well regarded.
Upcoming graduates awaiting conferral of qualifications and registration will be considered for this role.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
