  • Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The purpose of this role is to work as a Child Protection Liaison Officer and can provide clinical advice, consultancy and education across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS) and to other government agencies to help ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Highly Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant qualification.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. 
  • Highly regarded: The ability to comprehensively assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level within a complex environment.
  • Highly regarded: The ability to provide nursing leadership in the clinical and professional setting including the role modelling of effective communication and problem solving.
  • Travel: Travel by light aircraft may be required.
  • Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle. 
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
