As a Senior Security Specialist you will perform Cyber Security Risk assessments on new threats and vulnerabilities through the provision of comprehensive subject matter analysis, advice, and support of complex ICT systems within a healthcare setting. This includes presenting findings and treatment options to customers. You will lead the provision of high-level Information Security advice and consulting services on Information Communications Technology network and infrastructure matters and secure design review. Additionally, you will develop and maintain technical architectures for the Information Security portfolio in accordance with best practice and that comply with appropriate Queensland Health and whole of Government standards.
Key competencies/suitability (role specific criteria and personal qualities):
- Demonstrated experience conducting Cyber Security risk assessments of complex ICT systems and infrastructure in large geographically dispersed service delivery organisation.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to information security, with the capacity to successfully adopt them in the healthcare environment.
- Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the enterprise.
