Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Transit Care Hub (TCH) at Logan Hospital. In this role, you will contribute to the safe and efficient transition of patients across the facility and beyond.

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced transitional care setting to support safe and timely discharge.
  • Collaborate with nursing, allied health, medical staff, and transport services to ensure patient-centred transfer and discharge processes.
  • Actively participate in clinical handover, service improvement, and data collection to support the delivery and evaluation of patient flow strategies.
  • Work across a 7-day roster, including night shifts, contributing to the broader Patient Flow Program objectives.

About you:

We are looking for a compassionate, organised, and skilled Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative and dynamic care environment.

  • You are a clinically capable RN who delivers safe, person-centred care using critical thinking and effective assessment, planning, and evaluation skills.
  • You are confident using electronic medical records and can adapt quickly to changing clinical priorities.
  • You actively contribute to team leadership, quality initiatives, and education, and demonstrate professional integrity and a commitment to service excellence.
  • You are fully registered with AHPRA, up to date with mandatory vaccinations, and willing to work a rotating roster including night shifts.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
