The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse (Palliative Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide holistic patient care working under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist with the management of acute patient symptoms and complications of patients
- Adhere to relevant standards and frameworks to ensure patient safety by meeting national standards.
- Demonstrate working within a team culture, facilitated by good communication skills.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Part time (up to 64 hrs p.f.).
- Base salary ranging from $35.93 - $38.13 per hour.
About Us
Supportive and Specialist Palliative Care Inpatient Unit falls within the Medicine – Infection Control, Sexual Health, Palliative Care, Infectious Diseases Control, Radiology, Rheumatology and Dermatology (InSPIRD) team. It is a twenty bed unit with a cohort of patients requiring specialist Palliative Care needs including complex symptom management and the immediate management of End of Life support, both for patients and their families. The Palliative Care inpatient unit has a multidisciplinary focus enhanced by Medical, Allied Health providers, Social workers, Psychologist and Spiritual care.
