We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage the maintenance, calibration and analysis of photographic detection devices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and workplace health and safety requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the effective operation of critical technology systems, supporting the organisation's objectives and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management
Lead, direct, and organise the maintenance, analysis, and calibration of photographic detection devices.
Coordinate workflow processes, establish workload priorities, and develop local strategic plans to meet organisational goals.
Train, supervise, and evaluate team members, providing ongoing support and performance management to foster a high-performing team environment.
2. Technical Operations and Compliance
Ensure the accuracy and technical validity of maintenance and calibration documentation.
Promote and monitor compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures, standards, quality management systems, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Provide technical advice and participate in equipment replacement programs to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
3. Court Representation and Evidence Management
Represent the organisation in court by providing expert evidence on technology-related matters, ensuring the integrity and reliability of technical information presented.
4. Asset and Resource Management
Oversee the management of assets, including spare parts and supplies necessary to support operations and internal/external calibration requirements.
Maintain accurate databases and records to assist in the effective management of assets and associated resources.
5. Policy Development and Continuous Improvement
Interpret changes in technology, legislation, and standards, and use this knowledge to develop and review policies and procedures.
Conduct and participate in internal audits, implementing initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance.
6. Project Participation
Contribute to technical projects by applying your expertise to ensure outcomes are achievable within time constraints and align with service requirements.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will have:
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage teams and prioritise workloads effectively.
Extensive technical expertise in the maintenance, calibration, and analysis of photographic detection devices or similar technologies.
A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide expert evidence in court and deliver clear technical advice.
Proven experience in asset management, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to adapt to changes in technology and legislation.
