We're looking for a motivated Natural Resource Management Officer to join our Vegetation Management Unit within the Department of Natural Resources, Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development (NRMMRRD). Based in Charleville, this temporary, full-time role offers a meaningful career supporting sustainable natural resource management across Queensland. Your work will directly support the responsible use and management of Queensland's natural environment. You'll work closely with colleagues across the state, engage with local communities, and help shape the way land is managed for current and future generations. 

Key responsibilities include: 
• Assessing applications under the Vegetation Management Act 1999 and related frameworks. 
• Conducting desktop and field-based vegetation assessments. 
• Providing expert advice to landholders, community members and other stakeholders. 
• Preparing clear, evidence-based reports, briefs and recommendations for senior officers. 
• Contributing to compliance inspections and enforcement planning. 
• Supporting continuous improvement, business planning, and policy implementation.
