In this vital role, you’ll provide essential administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a welcoming environment. Duties include but are not limited to general clerical duties, quality client service, patient bookings, correspondence and basic reports, minutes and agenda preparation and completion, statistics collation, data entry, word processing and spreadsheeting of documents, switchboard to clients accessing Midwifery Group Practice, filing and other duties as directed.

About us:

The Women and Newborn Unit are composed of Maternity and Gynaecology ward, Neonatal nursery, Antenatal Clinic, Midwifery Group Practice and Extended Midwifery Services. Midwifery care within the unit is women centred, reflecting the needs of each woman within a safe and sustainable quality system. All women, babies and families have access to evidenced based, culturally competent midwifery and nursing care in a range of settings close to where they live. Appropriately trained and qualified midwifery health professionals provide continuous or shared maternity care to women and their babies who meet the service capability of Gladstone Hospital.

About the role:

Delivery of efficient and effective administrative support that is consistent with quality health care, by providing assistance to the Midwifery Group Practice in Gladstone.

  • Ability to work autonomously and ethical decision making in the achievement of department/organisational goals.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain harmonious and productive working relationships and be a contributing team member committed to the principle of patient focused care and the concept of total quality service.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $78,124 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
