About the role

This position will be located at the new Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services facility, which is introducing a new on-demand Food service model, supported by an Electronic Patient Menu Management System (ePMMS). The purpose of this position is to provide professional and operational management, clinical practice supervision and leadership for a team of Nutrition Assistants.

 Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services is a state-of-the-art facility that will deliver 90 additional beds in West Moreton as part of Queensland Health's Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery Program. The project will deliver a three-storey facility located on Botany Drive, South Ripley. It is located on the Ripley Health Campus and is co-located with the current Satellite Health Centre.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Clinical knowledge, expertise and skill in contemporary professional practice relevant to the services delivered by the work unit, commensurate with level of experience.
  • Ability to apply established principles to routine nutrition assessment, implementation and evaluation of clinical services, with increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making.
  • Ability to use high quality verbal and written communication to work co-operatively within the interprofessional team to achieve the best patient centred outcomes.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage workload as well as participate in initiating and implementing quality and clinical service improvement activities.
  • Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and skills to participate in the clinical education and training of students.
