The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking skilled Building Inspectors to provide expert technical advice, manage reactive and proactive investigations, and mediate disputes between contractors and consumers. In this role, you will administer relevant regulatory provisions, prepare detailed technical reports, and contribute to disciplinary proceedings, including giving evidence before tribunals and courts. You'll also be involved in operational planning and delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates must hold a Builder's License from QBCC, possess or be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Government Investigations within six months, and hold a current driver's license with a good driving record, as travel across the State is required. Strong knowledge of building standards, legislation, and codes is essential, along with excellent interpersonal, negotiation, mediation, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
