This is an exciting opportunity within the General Goods and Services (GGS) team. As a key member of the team, you will manage the GGS Professional Services or another GGS category, including the associated common-use supply arrangements. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be required to support engagement with internal and external stakeholders and delivery of best practice procurement and category management processes.

What you will be doing:
• Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of staff as required.
• Undertake category planning, market demand and cost analysis, risk management, sourcing activities, supplier performance management and category performance management.
• Work with cross agency working groups to deliver good governance and category objectives.
• Represent the department and Queensland Government Procurement, promoting GGS at industry and stakeholder events.
• Partner with key suppliers and industry representatives to deliver innovation and value for Queensland.
• Drive strategic and innovative initiatives to assist government agencies to meet their objectives.
• Undertake future focused planning, ensuring decisions are data driven and evidence based, with measurable and defensible outcomes.
• Undertake all procurement activities with integrity and due consideration to probity, ensuring that all actions are transparent.
• Assist and provide advice to government agencies using GGS supply arrangements, improving procurement capability across the government.
