We are looking for a Business Services Officer (Procurement & Contract Management) to join our Biosecurity Queensland team to:
• Support the coordination of Biosecurity Queensland’s Procurement & Contract Management function.
• Actively support senior managers across Biosecurity Queensland with the procurement/contract management lifecycle to ensure good governance, effectiveness, and efficiency in procurement practices.
• Contribute ideas and work as part of a team to build procurement and contract management capability across Biosecurity Queensland.

Strategy, Investment and Performance (SIP) delivers a range of services to support Biosecurity Queensland (BQ). SIP partners with BQ program areas to provide specialised advice on best business practice and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business stakeholders.
As our Business Services Officer (Procurement and Contract Management), you will provide procurement and contract management services that support the operations of Biosecurity Queensland. You will provide advice and be actively with procurement processes and contract management ensuring procurement documentation is consistent with the Queensland Procurement Policy. You will contribute to development and maintenance of systems and procedures that provide effective procurement and contract management in DPI, actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and building procurement and contract management capability.
You will know you're achieving success in the role when you:
• Procurement documentation is prepared in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy
• Confidently present written plans, documentation and contracts in a clear, concise and respectful manner
• Can manage your own work priorities, ensuring assigned tasks are undertaken promptly and meet the project deliverables
• Are actively contributing as a member of a high-performing team.
