The Senior Conservation Analyst (PO4) provides high level expertise and advice in landscape ecology and spatial analysis for a range of projects including conservation assessments, habitat modelling, as well as fulfilling ad hoc requests for maps, analysis and spatial statistics. The position is also involved in the development, management and maintenance of the koala habitat mapping and analysis for the SEQ Koala Conservation Strategy.

This position is with the Biodiversity Assessment team, based at the Ecosciences Precinct, Dutton Park. The team is responsible for the delivery of key state-wide planning tools and assessments through implementation of biodiversity values assessment methodologies such as BAMM and AquaBAMM. The results from these assessments are the foundation for the development and implementation of evidence-based policy across the state. More information can be found at

The team maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity and aims to provide robust and timely scientific advice. Team members have a wide range of expertise with a focus on landscape level ecology and spatial mapping and analysis. Travel to regional centers and other offices may be required from time to time. This may include overnight stays.
