About the opportunity
The Healthy Kindy Kids program provides free health checks for children attending kindergarten to identify and address any potential health or developmental needs early on. This program aims to give children the best start to their education by ensuring they have the necessary support before starting school.
This role is responsible for implementing the program in North Queensland (boundaries aligned with Department of Education region), including logistics, workforce management, service delivery and integration, data collection and reporting, quality assurance, stakeholder management, partnerships with Education, Early Childhood and Primary Health Networks and engagement with parents and carers.
The position delivers advanced Child Development Services to stakeholders/consumers within North Queensland region to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research, including implementing and monitoring operational activities and leading professional governance activities for a team of allied health professionals, assistants and students.

- Salary range: $5557.50 - $5798.90 p.f. (HP5)
- 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Requirements:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in either and registration or membership to the relevant governing body
- Speech Pathology / Occupational Therapy / Social Work / Physiotherapy / Psychology
(Psychology Board of Australia (PsychBA) area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology/Clinical Neuropsychology/ Educational & Developmental Psychology is highly regarded, as would PsychBA approved Supervisor status.) - Possession of a C motor vehicle licence.
- Travel by road and air, including overnight accommodation, will be required as part of the role to deliver services across THHS and Nth Qld.
