TMR are currently seeking 2 temporary Principal Industrial Relations Advisor’s to join our passionate Industrial Relations team. You will be working in partnership with a range of business partners across TMR to provide specialist strategic advice and support in the management of industrial relations matters within the Queensland Government legislative landscape.
In this pivotal role, you will offer guidance, leadership, and support to senior management and clients on a diverse range workforce relations issue. You will lead a specialist team, working with minimal supervision to ensure the effective resolution of industrial relations matters. This position offers a dynamic and varied work environment, where you will not only leverage your expertise but also engage in continuous learning and development. The role of Principal Industrial Relations Advisor is responsible for providing authoritative advice, leadership and support to senior management and clients of the Department on industrial relations issues. You will work with limited supervision and assist in leading a small, specialist team.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provision of expert advice and consultancy services to executives, senior managers and clients matters relating to Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and Public Sector Policy.
• Assist where required in sensitive industrial and workforce issues and develop, negotiate and implement appropriate strategies for timely resolution in consultation with relevant parties.
• Represent the department at high level negotiations relating to industrial and workforce relations issues, including advocacy at the QIRC.
