An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to join Theatre and Operating Suites at Nambour General Hospital.
The Operating Room Suite (ORS) Nambour General Hospital is a five day a week service providing elective surgery covering General Surgery, Orthopaedic, Urological, Plastics, Breast surgery and Gynaecology surgery. The department also extend its services to endoscopy and persistent pain procedures.
The Clinical Nurse (CN) leads and delivers person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. The CN acts as a leader in providing safe, efficient and patient centric perioperative care through effective planning, coordination and collaboration. The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making by applying the advanced clinical knowledge and skill. Clinical Nurse is responsible for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7, fostering a safety and learning culture.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.

- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
Remuneration value up to $131 900 p.a.,f/t comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. p/t, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Multiple Permanent Flexible Part-Time postions.).
