About us: Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will:

  • Exercise independence and problem-solving skills in matters beyond routine day to day practice within accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively to ensure smooth departmental workflows are maintained. Evaluate workflows as necessary and facilitate solutions to identified workflow problems.
  • Be actively involved in quality assurance within the work unit regarding clinical practices, procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in clinical research and professional development activities.
  • Comply with and utilise procedures, polices, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including human resource management requirements and practices such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunities and anti-discrimination.
