Our Child and Youth Mental Health Service are looking for Mental Health Clinicians to permanently join our team. There are mutliple positions available, with either full or part time to choose from. If you are an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social worker, then keep reading!
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service team provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and psychotherapeutic intervention for children and adolescents up to 18 years of age with or with emerging severe and/or complex mental health conditions to the community of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Woorabinda, and Mount Morgan.

About us:
Rockhampton is the principal service centre for this area and as such provides the medical coverage, professional supervision, and administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, support for accreditation and implementation of programs as well as acute inpatient facilities for the Central Queensland Mental Health teams. Rockhampton is the principal service centre for the Central Queensland area and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016 and is the location of the Acute Inpatient Units.
About the role:
The Mental Health Clinician delivers high quality evidence based clinical services in the therapeutic treatment of children and young people (and their family or carer networks) experiencing mental health issues and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. This includes crisis intervention, case management and therapeutic counselling.
The position works closely with community partners including schools, child safety, non-government organisations and other service providers in the care of young people experiencing mental health issues.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Working with Children Clearance
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
