A key focus of the role is leading and supporting organisational change management, ensuring processes align with contemporary best practice and established industrial frameworks. The role plays a central part in helping stakeholders plan and implement change initiatives effectively and in accordance with relevant guidelines. The position also supports Health Service managers and Workforce teams in managing a range of complex matters, including union engagement, workplace grievances, investigations, industrial disputes, and external advocacy.

The position also supports Health Service managers and Workforce teams in managing a range of complex matters, including union engagement, workplace grievances, investigations, industrial disputes, and external advocacy.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide specialist advice to assist in the resolution of workplace relations issues of varying complexity, including organisational change, union engagement, industrial disputes and appeals, providing subject matter expertise to matters which escalate to external advocacy and forums (such as the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission).
  • Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including with other Workforce Division teams, employees, supervising managers, senior and executive managers, unions, governmental departments and agencies, and other external forums.
  • Advocacy in industrial commissions, facilitation and case management of Public Service disputes, appeals and anti-discrimination matters. Includes preparation of written documentation.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance to stakeholders based on contemporary best practice regarding organisational change processes, underpinned by established guidelines and principles.

Remuneration value up to $148 323 p.a, comprising salary between $121 360 - $129 998 p.a, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6).
