As the Senior Project Officer, Community Engagement (Identified) you will provide services in the development and implementation of program related issues and specific projects related to ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students have meaningful engagement in all levels of education.

About the Role

As the Senior Project Officer, Community Engagement (Identified), you will have a pivotal role in supporting a range of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Support the establishment of Shared Decision-Making Bodies and the development of a shared decision-making process between the school and the community
  • Support the establishment of a Traditional Owner Language Advisory Group and the development of a Traditional Language and Culture program between the school and the Traditional Owners of the local community.
  • Provide clear and regular reporting to senior officers and other staff within the division on project progress or other agreed key performance indicators to assist in monitoring and decision making.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings with departmental officers and community members to discuss, evaluate and revise plans, systems and procedures.

Travel is required for this position.
