Senior Executive Officer

You will work within the Office of the Senior Executive Director team in a fast-paced environment to deliver support to the Senior Executive Director (SED) and Principal Executive Officer. As Senior Executive Officer you will be responsible for the coordination and response to incoming requests to the Office of the SED including ministerial and executive correspondence; department and cross-government reporting, briefing material and other administration tasks.

In Youth Justice you will have the opportunity to work together with people, partners and across places to enable young Queenslanders, especially the most vulnerable, to have positive life choices and opportunities.
As Senior Executive Officer, you will specifically:
- Proactively manage the Office of the Senior Executive Director mailbox, and all incoming correspondence. Manage general file administration and allocate to the appropriate officer for action.
- Support the Senior Executive Director and with high-quality confidential executive, administrative and project assistance.
- Providing high-level secretariat support for meetings and committees, including bookings, preparing agendas, papers and minutes, and following up on action items.
- Ensuring high standards are maintained regarding the management of Ministerial and executive briefs, parliamentary documents and correspondence.
- Managing diary and coordinating documents that are of a high standard, are fit for purpose and delivered within specified or agreed timeframes.
- Ensuring highly confidential and sensitive information is managed appropriately, using judgement to bring urgent matters to the attention of the Principal Executive Officer and Senior Executive Director.
- Developing, monitoring and evaluating systems and processes to ensure the effective management and workflow of ministerial and executive correspondence, reporting and responses.
