About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to deliver high-level, evidence based psychological assessment, formulation (including risk formulation) and brief psychological interventions to adult inpatient mental health consumers, their carers and relevant stakeholders, with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within recovery-orientated and trauma-informed frameworks and in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary inpatient teams.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Application of high-level professional judgement and decision making to resolve a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable clinical evidence with minimal direct clinical practice supervision.
- Provide high-level consultation and clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team, operational managers, public and private clinicians in either community or inpatient settings, to assist them to undertake assessment and management of people with complex mental health disorders and to provide support to their carers
- Monitor and report on clinical practice and outcomes within the clinical service area including supporting the achievement of key performance indicators.
