About the opportunity 

The Support Services Department delivers the essential operational services (environmental cleaning, patient services, waste, and linen) in support to clinical service delivery across the Townsville University Hospital campus, the Kirwan Health campus and four Townsville Community Health sites.

The Supervisor (Discharge Clean), Support Services Department, is responsible for the supervision of the Operational Services Officers workforce and department service delivery across the Townsville University Hospital.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $2585.80 to $2710.40  p.f. (OO3)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

  • There are no mandatory qualification requirements for the role however a Certificate III or higher qualification in health or leadership is well regarded.
  • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD's Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
