The Applications Management unit at Transport and Main Roads (TMR) plays a vital role in supporting the Information Technology function. We provide development, testing, and support services for applications used by internal stakeholders. Our mission is to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity across TMR.
As a Systems Analyst, you’ll be the bridge between business needs and technology solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, design functional specifications, and ensure systems are optimised to meet both user and organisational goals.

We're on the lookout for a skilled Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team at Transport and Main Roads (TMR)!
In this role, you'll analyse, design, and optimise information systems to meet business needs. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, create functional specifications and work closely with IT teams, developers and business units to implement solutions that make a real difference.
As a Systems Analyst, you'll:
• Administer, configure, and support the suite of Enterprise Systems.
• Integrate Enterprise Systems with backend infrastructure tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement solutions that comply with Information Standards and Policies, aligned with agreed functional specifications.
• Assess the impact of new technologies on Enterprise Systems and recommend solutions.
• Liaise with external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure positive outcomes for TMR.
• Regularly update and patch systems to maintain security and software integrity.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
• A strong understanding of business processes and information systems.
• Knowledge of data flows, database structures and the ability to interpret data.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
• Scripting or programming experience, particularly with HTML, XML and JavaScript.
• A degree in information technology or equivalent would be highly regarded.

As this role involves access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be conducted prior to appointment.
