As Manager, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for delivering quality financial reporting services focusing on quality financial advice and analysis across the statutory reporting and compliance environment to make a real difference in the way finance support the wider business and deliver on our strategic objectives.
Specifically, you will:
- Provide comprehensive financial advice, analysis, and information to the Chief Financial Officer and Director in support of the organisation's long-term financial strategy and sustainability objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, including the development of technical accounting papers, and coordinate all aspects of the external audit process.
- Lead the Financial Reporting team to deliver high-quality financial management services, fostering accountability and measurable outcomes.
- Offer expert guidance and leadership across all organisational levels by delivering insightful analysis on financial management issues and interpreting accounting standards as they pertain to specific business operations.
- Manage the design and implementation of systems and processes to improve the effectiveness of service delivery and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Collaborate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders regarding the coordination, planning, and monitoring of financial management activities, proactively identifying issues, resolving challenges, and providing advanced support for financial accounting processes.
- Foster a workplace that enables success and empowers employees to perform to their full potential with a focus on better services and outcomes for the community.
- Champion a positive work environment by developing, mentoring, and mobilising talent within the team.
- Ensure the implementation of an ongoing training program for non-financial staff, enabling them to effectively fulfil their financial accounting responsibilities.
Whilst there no mandatory qualifications required for this role, possession of a CPA or CAA qualification will be highly regarded. Experience with SAP would also be beneficial.
