About the role

Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within the Cancer Care Unit and Renal Dialysis Unit as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.

Provide leadership and deliver high level client focussed pharmacy services to patients of the Cancer Care and Renal Dialysis Units of Mount Isa hospital and any affiliated outreach sites.

Be part of a team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures and protocols of the North West Hospital and Health Service.

Requirements

• Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Previous experience in Cancer Care is highly desirable.
• A post-graduate qualification in pharmacy is desirable.
• This position participates in a Pharmacy Department roster plan, which may include an ‘On Call' Service and weekend work.
• C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
• Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
• This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
• A period of probation may apply.
