What your day will look like….
As a Psychiatrist with Darling Downs Health, you'll lead with compassion and clinical expertise, guiding a dedicated team to deliver integrated, evidence-based mental health care. Your day will involve engaging directly with consumers and carers, shaping treatment plans that support recovery and wellbeing, and collaborating across departments and service sites to ensure continuity of care. You'll contribute to clinical governance, mentor junior staff, and have opportunities to teach and research through our partnership with the University of Queensland Rural Medical School. Whether you're reviewing complex cases, leading change initiatives, or facilitating interdisciplinary partnerships, your work will be deeply valued and impactful.
Applications from agencies will not be considered. Flexible work options available for fulltime or part time. You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $368,514 ($100.78/hr) (L18) up to $460,349 ($127.77/hr) (L27) per annum (pro rata) which includes motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
