The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist - Senior (Clinical Trials) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Conduct assessment and review of clinical trial protocols involving pharmaceutical therapies, as part of the Ethics Committee submission and prior to initiation
- Maintain pharmacy trial and program records, and be accountable for stock returns and destruction
- Support conduct of the trial/s through preparation of Pharmacy specific workplace instructions specific to the trial
- Work closely with clinical trial investigators, trial coordinators and research nurses to ensure optimal pharmacy support is provided at all times
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
- AHPRA Registration
- While not mandatory, a relevant post graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy services or research will be well regarded
- While not mandatory, experience in delivery of pharmacy services for clinical trials will be highly regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $128 169- $137 918 per annum

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital, Tugun Satellite Health Centre, Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre, Interim care facilities, as well as various community clinics and dental services.
